Bayshore Holiday Festival

The Bayshore District rang in the holiday season on December 5 with its Annual Tree Lighting Festival, transforming Coco Plaza into a hub of holiday cheer. Hundreds of residents and visitors gathered for a festive evening that blended art, music, and seasonal traditions.

The night’s centerpiece was the unveiling of the district’s inaugural mural, a vibrant work of art by renowned painter Carmelo Blandino. The mural, displayed at the Bayshore Warehouse, adds a bold splash of creativity to the area and will remain on view throughout December for all to enjoy.

The festival showcased the district’s culinary talent, with top local restaurants serving holiday-inspired dishes alongside signature favorites. Attendees also enjoyed live music, a

holiday movie screening under the stars, and shopping at the cheerful Holiday Market. Santa and Mrs. Claus made a special stop, spreading joy to families and little ones.

“The Tree Lighting Festival embodies the heart of the Bayshore District—community, creativity, and celebration,” said Diane Sullivan, president and founder of the Bayshore District. “We are thrilled to share this magical evening with our residents and visitors and are especially proud to showcase Carmelo Blandino’s stunning mural as a lasting legacy for the district.”

Donna Fiala, fondly known as the “people’s commissioner,” also attended, lending her warmth and support to an already magical evening.

The Annual Tree Lighting Festival, hosted in collaboration with the Bayshore/Gateway Triangle Community Redevelopment Agency, continues to cement Bayshore’s reputation as one of Naples’ most festive and welcoming neighborhoods.

The Bayshore District, a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to fostering community connections and promoting arts and culture in the Bayshore/Gateway Triangle area. Its events and programs showcase the district’s unique character while creating meaningful experiences for residents and visitors alike.

If you couldn’t make it to the festival, take some time this December to visit the Bayshore Warehouse and see the mural that’s quickly becoming a local landmark. It’s a piece of art- and a reflection of Bayshore’s spirit- that’s sure to brighten your holiday season.
