Bayshore District Kicks Off the Holiday Season with Annual Tree LightingFestival and First-Ever Mural Unveiling

(Naples, FL – December 6, 2024)—The Bayshore District celebrated the start of the

holiday season in spectacular fashion with its Annual Tree Lighting Festival on

December 5. This year’s event was a resounding success, drawing hundreds of

attendees to Coco Plaza for an evening filled with art, food, and festive activities.

A highlight of the festival was the unveiling of the district’s first-ever mural, created by

world-renowned artist Carmelo Blandino. The vibrant and inspiring artwork, now a

centerpiece of the Bayshore District, will remain on display throughout December,

offering visitors and residents a chance to admire this creative addition to the

community at the Bayshore Warehouse.

The celebration featured a variety of culinary delights from the district’s top restaurants,

offering an array of holiday-inspired dishes and local favorites. Families and friends

enjoyed an outdoor concert, a special screening of Holiday Movies at the Outdoor

Movie, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and shopping at the Holiday Market.

“The Tree Lighting Festival embodies the heart of the Bayshore District—community,

creativity, and celebration,” said Diane Sullivan, president and founder of Bayshore

District, 501(c)3. “We are thrilled to have shared this magical evening with our residents

and visitors, and we are especially proud to showcase Carmelo Blandino’s stunning

mural as a lasting legacy for the district.”

This annual event, hosted by the Bayshore District in partnership with the Bayshore/

Gateway Triangle Community Redevelopment Agency, continues to position Bayshore

District as a vibrant and welcoming destination for holiday celebrations in Naples. We

were also deeply honored to have Donna Fiala, the “people’s commissioner,” join us for

this special event. Her presence added even more warmth and significance to the

evening.
